Traffic and Weather Together.

Spotty dense fog continues to leave motorists in thedark this morning with the highest problems for drivers near Porter / Packard Roads inthe Town of Niagara, River Road / Niagara Street in Town of Tonawanda.

If your traveling North on the Thruway - Slow Down Immediately! Give More Distance between yourself and others as the visiblitity will decrease to near zero once you enter Niagara County north of Grand Island.

Niagara County has it's own problems, deep ditches, stupid deer and limited sight distances in areas, such as the curves and hills in Lockport, on Route 31, and 104 all make fo an exciting experience.

BURN OFF SLOWLY THIS MORNING.

DENSE FOG WILL CONTINUE TO CAUSE TRAVEL PROBLEMS FOR AWHILE THIS

MORNING BUT IMPROVEMENT IS EXPECTED BY MID MORNING. VISIBILITY

WILL BE A QUARTER MILE OR LESS...ESPECIALLY CLOSER TO THE NIAGARA

RIVER AND THE LAKE ONTARIO SHORE.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



A DENSE FOG ADVISORY IS ISSUED WHEN DENSE FOG WILL SUBSTANTIALLY

REDUCE VISIBILITIES... RESULTING IN HAZARDOUS DRIVING CONDITIONS

IN SOME AREAS. MOTORISTS ARE ADVISED TO USE CAUTION AND SLOW

DOWN... AS OBJECTS ON AND NEAR ROADWAYS WILL BE SEEN ONLY AT

CLOSE RANGE.
