Ocotillo, CA. – Yesterday, U.S. Border Patrol agents assigned to the El Centro Station arrested an illegal alien with extensive criminal history and an outstanding arrest warrant for felony charges.
The incident occurred at approximately 11:25 a.m., when Border Patrol agents working near Ocotillo apprehended six Mexican nationals attempting to enter the U.S. illegally from Mexico. All six illegal aliens were transported to the El Centro Border Patrol station where agents discovered that one of the group members had an outstanding warrant for assault with a deadly weapon and murder.
The suspect is identified as 48-year-old Raul Ramirez-Perez, a citizen of Mexico with felony assault and murder charges from 2005 out of Montrose County, Colorado. Perez has previously been deported from the U.S. He was turned over to the Imperial County Sheriff’s Office where he awaits extradition by the Montrose County Sheriff’s Office.
