U.S. Border Patrol Agents Seize 219 Pounds of Marijuana



Yuma , Ariz. – U.S. Border Patrol agents from Yuma Sector seized approximately 219 pounds of marijuana and arrested one suspected smuggler on Wednesday.
Border Patrol agents assigned to the Yuma Station observed a suspicious vehicle near County 11th Street and the Levee Road. Agents observed several individuals loading bundles into the back of the vehicle, a 1994 Honda Civic, before returning to Mexico. Agents conducted a vehicle stop and found four bundles of marijuana in the back of the vehicle.
The marijuana, with an estimated street value of $175,200, and the suspected smuggler were turned over to the Drug Enforcement Administration. The vehicle was seized by the U.S. Border Patrol.
